Frequent Asked Questions
1. Is this therapy?
No. This work is not therapy, and it’s not a replacement for mental health treatment. It’s a nervous-system-informed, relational coaching approach focused on self-trust, self-leadership, and integration. Some people work with me alongside therapy; others come here after therapy didn’t fully address what they were experiencing.
2. Is this work appropriate if I have a history of substance use or addiction?
Yes, as long as you’re not actively using and are able to engage consistently. Many people come to this work after sobriety, when unresolved trauma, dysregulation, or identity questions remain. This work focuses on what comes next, not crisis or detox-level support.
3. Do I need to have already left a relationship or family system to do this work?
No. Some people come while they are still navigating complex relationships or systems. This work supports clarity, grounding, and internal safety, so decisions can be made from self-trust rather than urgency or fear.
4. What does working together look like?
Work typically happens through one-on-one sessions focused on nervous system regulation, relational patterns, and self-leadership. The pace is collaborative and responsive, rather than prescriptive. We focus on what’s present, not on forcing outcomes.
5. Is this work right for me?
This work tends to resonate with people who are ready to slow down, take responsibility for their healing, and rebuild self-trust without being rushed or told who to be. It may not be a fit for those seeking quick fixes, diagnosis-focused treatment, or external authority.
